Insight

Insight

Havoc Pennington discovered that DBus, a simple interprocess messaging system, performs insufficient validation of security policies, which might allow local privilege escalation. For the stable distribution (etch), this problem has been fixed in version 1.0.2-1+etch1. For the unstable distribution (sid), this problem has been fixed in version 1.1.20-1. We recommend that you upgrade your dbus packages.
