Apache HTTP Server Range Header DoS Vulnerability
Apache HTTP Server is prone to a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability.
The flaw is caused the way Apache httpd web server handles certain requests with multiple overlapping ranges, which causes significant memory and CPU usage on the server leading to application crash and system can become unstable.
Apache HTTP Server 1.3.x, 2.0.x through 2.0.64 and 2.2.x through 2.2.19. The vulnerable version of Apache HTTP Server is also known to be used in GIGAPOD file servers provided by TripodWorks.
Update to version 2.0.65, 2.2.20 or later. For older versions please see the references for a fix to mitigate this issue.
