Python is prone to a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability.

Detection Method:
Checks if a vulnerable version is present on the target host.

Technical Details:
A specially crafted X509 certificate can cause a NULL pointer dereference, resulting in a denial of service. An attacker can initiate or accept TLS connections using crafted certificates to trigger this vulnerability.

Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to crash the application.

Affected Versions:
Python versions 2.0.0 through 2.7.11 and 3.0.0 through 3.6.6.

Update to version 2.7.12 or 3.6.7 respectively
