Simple Machines Forum is prone to a server side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability.

Detection Method:
Checks if a vulnerable version is present on the target host.

Technical Details:
The vulnerability is exploitable via Subs-Package.php and Subs.php because user-supplied data is used directly in curl calls.

Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target machine.

Affected Versions:
Simple Machines Forum through version 2.0.16.

Update to version 2.0.17 or later.
