Published: 2010-10-25 10:51:03
CVE Author: NIST National Vulnerability Database (NVD)

CVSS Base Vector:
AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P

Detection Type:
Remote Vulnerability

Summary:
w-Agora is prone to a local file-include vulnerability and a cross- site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user- supplied input. An attacker can exploit the local file-include vulnerability using directory-traversal strings to view and execute local files within the context of the webserver process. Information harvested may aid in further attacks. The attacker may leverage the cross-site scripting issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie- based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. w-Agora 4.2.1 and prior are vulnerable.

Solution Type:
Vendor will not fix

Recommendations:
No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
